Toothpaste

Whatever toothpaste you choose for your child, please be certain that it contains fluoride. Although some manufacturers market “children’s toothpaste”, those do not contain fluoride, and therefore do not offer real cavity protection. Dr. Eugene Mickey pediatric dentist

For children who may find certain tastes offensive, there are many taste varieties to choose from, some of which, such as Tom’s of Maine, are very mild in taste. You may have to experiment to find just the right one for your child.

Special ”Whitening” toothpastes may cause some tooth sensitivity if used in young children. If sensitivity does occur, it will usually resolve once you stop using the whitening agent
